How to use league import
League import is the product loop Dynasty Cheat Code is built around. Rankings and the trade calculator are useful alone; the import is what grades your room. Paste a Sleeper username, a long numeric league ID, or the league URL from the Sleeper app. We never need your Sleeper password. Private leagues import the same way as public ones — Sleeper’s read API returns them.
What to paste
A bare username lists the leagues that account can see for the season, including private ones. A league ID or a URL that contains /leagues/… jumps straight into that league. If a league is missing, the usual causes are a wrong ID, a deleted league, or a season rollover — not a privacy wall. Wrong season is common: Sleeper files leagues under the year the season starts.
Start at /league-import. No account is required to analyze. Saving a league to an account is optional if you want the snapshot kept; unsaved imports analyze the live Sleeper response.
What you get back
Every roster is graded with a contend-or-rebuild direction, contender and rebuild scores, strengths and weaknesses, and recommended moves. Power rankings use franchise value — players plus picks — so capital shows up in the standings, not only in a side panel. Future rookie picks are valued from round and the original owner’s projected finish, then discounted for distance, instead of being ignored.
Trade partners are ranked by window mismatch and positional fit. Suggested packages respect rails: rebuilders are not told to buy aging backs; contenders can buy short-window production. You also get a this-week style next move when weekly context is available, plus buy/sell/hold context for the roster using the same player model as the public rankings.
Coverage is surfaced on purpose. If many skill players are not yet valued, the report shows a confidence label and the missing names rather than pretending the board is complete.
How to read the first screen
Start with your team direction and the one-line explanation. Then check confidence. A Low confidence Contender is a different plan than a High confidence Elite Contender — one is a nudge away from retool territory; the other is not. Read the weakest position first; that is what the trade finder keys off when it proposes partners.
Taxi and IR honesty matters. Taxi is treated as future capital, not startable surplus. IR still counts in the window. If taxi or IR changes a team’s direction versus a naive lumped view, the report can say so instead of hiding the slot effect.

Sharing and privacy
Personal dashboards under /league/… stay out of the public index. Shareable report links under the share route are the growth surface when you want to drop a card in league chat. We never post for you, never message league mates, and never need a password. Details on what is stored when you save a league live in the privacy policy.
The sample walkthrough at /demo shows the same report shape on a fake league. It is noindex on purpose — reviewers and search should evaluate real tools and written guides, not demo managers.
After you import
Jump to the trade calculator with league context when you want package math in the same format. Use trade value basics if you need the stud-tax and format story first. Values refresh on a published cadence; tool pages stamp as-of, and a site-wide banner appears if the board goes stale — see methodology.
If something fails to load, try the current league URL from the Sleeper app or look the league up by username. A 404 is “Sleeper has no league with this ID,” not “private leagues unsupported.”
Common mistakes
Pasting an old season’s league ID after rollover. Treating a 404 as “private leagues do not work.” Reading Superflex prices while your imported league is 1QB. Ignoring Low confidence on a fringe label and tearing down anyway. Sharing a personal dashboard URL when you meant the share card. Starting from the demo managers and assuming those names are indexable product content — they are not; demo stays noindex.
When the report looks wrong, check coverage and the as-of stamp before blaming a single player rank. Stale values show a banner site-wide; thin coverage lists who is missing.
