Dynasty tight end rankings
How the engine prices tight ends — base scarcity, TE-premium lifts, and volatile roles.

How the engine values TE
Tight ends sit low on the base 1QB scale because the position is the most replaceable in standard scoring. Equal evidence does not buy equal price versus receivers and backs until a format pays them. Peak age sits around 26, with faster decay than receivers but slower than running backs.
TE-premium and SF TE-premium change that. Elite tight ends receive a larger multiplier than mid-tier or replacement options — the premium accrues to players you would actually start. Primary tight end roles score highest on role security; TE2 slots do not. Pass-game opportunity (vacated targets) can tilt value when the room ahead of a tight end clears.
The position is volatile enough that the model stays conservative on unproven names and still protects true elites from blunt Bearish labels. Read TE boards in the format your league plays. A top tight end in TE-premium is not the same asset as the same player on a standard-scoring 1QB board.
If your league is SF TE-premium, use that format board for trades — stacking Superflex quarterback ramps and TE-premium lifts is exactly what that format page is for. Standard Superflex without TE premium should not borrow TE-premium prices.
Peak window used in the age curve: about age 26. Full story: methodology and trade value basics. Values below are the live board — not re-ranked by hand.
